Switzerland and that led him to found the English Huber School of
Astrology, now known as API (UK), in 1982. He was Principal of the
school from 1983-1991 and Principal Emeritus from 1991 to 2008.
In 1988 he graduated after a 3 year training in Therapeutic Counselling

THE
TUTORS

API (UK).
Ghislaine
Adams, Dip. API, DIP THP, Diploma in Personal Psychosynthesis, UKCP
Reg
Ghislaine was born and educated in France. She came to England in
1973. Astrology has always been part of her life. Her mother taught
her the little she knew about sun signs when Ghislaine was very
young. She then read extensively on the subject and thus gathered
a body of knowledge that has given her a deep understanding of the
field. Ghislaine was awarded the Dip API in 1997 and has been a
tutor for API UK since 2000. She is also a registered tutor for
the Milton Keynes Adult Education Consortium and has run many introductory
courses and workshops on Astrological Psychology locally. Ghislaine
works as a therapist and has a private practice where she offers
astrological counselling, integrative psychotherapy and spiritual
healing. She holds monthly tutorials for API Diploma students and
anyone interested in attending these can contact her for further
details.
Rev.
Jeremy Cooper MSc.; Dip. API; Dip. Guidance and Counselling
Jeremy was born and grew up in Hawes in Wensleydale, and afterwards
lived in Newcastle upon Tyne with his family and worked as a dental
surgeon for 29 1/2 years. In 1980 he underwent a change of mind
and direction, which resulted in leaving dentistry in 1994 and enrolling
on the API Diploma Course, as well as Psychology and Counselling
Courses. Jeremy attained the Diploma in Guidance and Counselling
in 1998 from the University of Northumbria, and the Swiss Diploma
in Astrological Psychology in 2001. He was Ordained as an Interfaith
Minister and Spiritual Counsellor at the Interfaith Seminary London
in 2004. Jeremy has his home in Devon where he facilitates monthly
seminars based on 'Huber astrology and Beyond'. He counsels individuals
in astrology and spirituality as well as tutoring and teaching for
API UK.
David
Kerr, Dip. API
David originally came from St. Andrews, Scotland. He went to live
in the Scottish Borders in 1977 after working in Zambia and Aberdeenshire
in his previous career in financial management. He began the serious
study of esoteric subjects in 1983 but after an initial flirtation
with more conventional forms of astrology, did not return to it
until he embarked on the API Diploma course in 1994, completing
it in 1998. Since then David has been a tutor of the diploma course,
and a little later also the foundation courses. In recent years
David has given workshops in South-East Scotland, in Norway, and
as part of the annual Face to Face programme. As well as his educational
activities he also works with a small number of counselling clients.
Since 2004 David has also acted as the Course Administrator for
API UK, which involves dealing with new enrolments, production and
despatch of course materials, maintenance of student records, liaison
with tutors etc.
Maria
Maw, PhD, Dip. API
Maria's background is in Science. She obtained a PhD in Biochemistry
in 1982 and a secondary school teaching certificate. However, at
the age of 25 she needed a break from academia and set off to fulfil
her dream of travelling around the world. She knew immediately that
she was on a spiritual search and came back 4 years later with a
passion for all things alternative including astrology. Maria started
with the API courses in 1988 getting her Diploma in 1998 during
which time she qualified as a Kinesiologist and started an ongoing
training in personal development (with a group in Manchester called
New Light). Maria also developed her own range of Flower Essences
and had two children whilst living very close to nature in Snowdonia.
She then moved to Macclesfield in Cheshire, became a tutor for the
school and had another child. Maria now runs her own business with
Aloe Vera based products. Her particular astrological interests
include the API 'Age Point' progress (with its connection to personal
process). In tutoring/workshops her aim is aligned to the API approach,
to provide students the opportunity for experiential learning in
order to more fully integrate their mental understanding.
Kathy
Rogers, MSc.; Dip. API
Kathy grew up in Leicestershire and now lives in Cheshire with her
family. She first became interested in astrology 25 years ago and
started to study the subject seriously 12 years later. She obtained
her Certificate qualification from the Faculty of Astrological Studies
in 1999 and then realised how much she enjoyed the Huber approach.
Kathy gained her Diploma from the API UK in 2007. Kathy is interested
in encouraging people to use astrology as a tool for developing
greater self-awareness and for taking a more conscious approach
to the choices life offers. She uses astrology alongside life coaching
in which she also holds a qualification. Kathy has been involved
in running a study group for astrology students in Cheshire for
the past 4 years and runs workshops as part of the API UK's annual
programme. She works as a tutor for the API UK alongside both her
career in the public sector and taking time to be a wife and mum.
The
Conference will be chaired by Kathy Rogers.
